In Košice a week ago, March 9, the American Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic (AmCham) organized another edition of its annual jobs and internships fair. This event, officially opened that morning by AmCham CEO Jake Slegers and U. S. Steel Košice Vice President Human Resources Martin Pitorák, had stands presenting more than thirty firms doing business in the areas of information technologies, industrial production, consultancy and education and training. It is now traditional of course that USSK was also among them, offering interested individuals from the ranks of university and college students an opportunity to gain experience in a summer internship at the steelworks. The internship takes place in July and August, and during these two months the fourth-year students who succeed in the selection process go through a tried-and-tested program. They can expect to work in various places where they will be able to join in solving specific problems as well as training sessions helping them to acquire management experience and leadership skills.n Košice a week ago, March 9, the American Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic (AmCham) organized another edition of its annual jobs and internships fair.
