U. S. Steel Košice Collective Labor Agreement signed

On April 18, 2016, U. S. Steel Košice, s.r.o. signed with its social partners the Collective Labor Agreement for 2016-2020. The new agreement resolves working, wages and social conditions, as well as other labor and legal issues and relations. USSK employees will be informed about details of the articles agreed upon.

The CLA is valid for all employees of U. S. Steel Košice, s.r.o., U. S. Steel Košice – SBS, s.r.o. and U. S. Steel Košice – Labortest, s.r.o. and it was put into force by signatures of Scott Buckiso, U. S. Steel Košice, s.r.o. President, Martin Pitorák, U. S. Steel Košice s.r.o. Vice President for Human Resources, Mikuláš Hintoš, Chairman of the Labor Union Council of LU KOVO U. S. Steel Košice and Milan Beregszászi, Chairman of the ZO OZ NKOS KOVO U. S. Steel Košice.

“Though the new agreement was not created easily, we appreciate the fair approach of our social partners during the process of looking for mutual solutions,” Scott Buckiso, President of U. S. Steel Košice, s.r.o. said during the signing ceremony. “One of these solutions is the principle that if the financial performance of the company increases, the employees will also profit from this success by a higher variable wage and by a one-time benefit as well, if the given financial results are achieved. In employee evaluation, higher importance will be also placed on their individual performance,” added President Buckiso.
