Application
Sheets with surface patterns (tear sheets and checker sheets) are mostly used as floor covering in industrial buildings, ships etc. The steels are weldable. Steels are not to be formed or bent. Test of bendability is executed on samples without patterns.
Tear sheets – a framework of oval projections covers one side of a sheet surface; axis of the projections and rolling direction contains angle of 45°. Each projection is orthogonal to the adjacent ones.
Checker sheets – the patterns form diamonds with longer diagonal parallel with sheet rolling direction. Per diamond shape holds a/b > 2
