On Friday, it looked all sorts of things. Especially in the morning. We modified the program so that it could be done mostly indoors. And overnight, everything changed. Early on Saturday morning, we arrived at Jahodná, which was completely covered with snow, we waded to the cottage through still uncleaned paths and sank into fresh snow up to our knees. And we already knew that it would be fine.

And in the end, it was. The weekend stay that we organized for families from the project We are with you at the right time in the recreation center in Jahodná, could not have turned out better.

In the morning, we had sports activities that we originally planned to organize on the field. But – we invented ourselves and organized competitions for adults and children in the interior of the cottage. We threw darts, hit the ball into the basketball hoop, kicked the goal and also competed in slalom with a floorball stick and a ball on a track marked out by cones.  Everyone was involved in the sports competition. We had an excellent organizer, Martin Tvrdoň, who was charmed by his mother Slávka.

The winners of the individual categories alternated, each succeeded in something different.  The small prizes we gave them away made everyone happy. 

Since there were also two little boys in our group, of course, we created special categories for them, in which they did very well and the winners were both Darius and Dorian.

 

There was also great interest in the early evening program – creative workshops. The organizer Karin Mikulášová from the Creative Workshop Association conceived the workshops before Christmas. And so beautiful Christmas decorations came out from under the skilful hands of young and old. The greatest success was the painting of glass houses, the interior of which shines.

During Saturday, there was also time for the pool and sauna. Several families took advantage of the opportunity to warm up in the warm sauna.

On Sunday, it stopped snowing and families spent most of the morning walking in the winter nature. The bobsleigh that Sofia brought with herself and that she had no problem lending to other children were also in the course. And the first snowmen came into the world.

Time passed very quickly. After Sunday lunch, we wanted to know what the families liked the most:

Dominika Petrusová:

We enjoyed everything and especially when we saw that Darius was satisfied, we were also satisfied. It was well cooked, clean... We met other families who have similar problems as us, so we also exchanged various information about doctors, rehabilitation, gained new contacts and friends.

Peter the Great:

We had the weather as a reward. We rested.   The creative workshops were great, my girls were also interested, who mainly painted the houses, those workshops were really interesting. I would like to thank you not only for the invitation, but especially for your kind approach.

Peter Azari:

It was very good. The pool and sauna, which Sofia and I used several times, were great. Sofia also liked the creative workshops.  The food was excellent, we are very satisfied. It's a pity that we couldn't all come, but my mother is already in the maternity hospital.

Jana Zlacká:

We had a lot of fun this weekend with the boys.  We had a good time, we walked through the beautiful winter landscape. Thank you for this weekend.

Domik and Henrieta Szanisló:

Everything was good. There is a nice environment, we liked the sports activities, and our little Dorian also felt good. We would like to come anytime you invite us.  Could it be next weekend?
