Last weekend we spent with the families from the project We are with you at the right time in the recreation center in Jahodná. We also invited families who were in the project in the past.
This was our second weekend together. During the first one, which we organized in November last year, we were surprised by a rich snowfall. A lot of snow fell overnight and we literally had to "fight through" it to the cottage. The weather has prepared something special for us this time as well. On Sunday at noon, a literal cloudburst broke down, a windstorm swept past us, which bent the trees, and the incessant rumble of thunder also had a quite ominous effect. However, apart from a small inconvenience in the form of a fallen tree, which blocked half of the road from Jahodná, everything was perfect. At least that's how the families assessed it when they left.
The very beginning was sweet. Literally. Beátka Mudrá brought a hand-baked and decorated huge cake (A2 format) for everyone, which tasted fantastic and we ate it only on Sunday after lunch.
"I was very pleased with the invitation to the weekend. We didn't have any program, we didn't hesitate for a minute, it was enough to change shifts," said Beátka Mudrá.
We had a "little bit of everything" program. Football players Teo and Timon Vagaš did not miss a single sports activity, Darko Petrus also joined. Together, they "chased" Martin Tvrdoň, the son of our colleague Slávka.
Samko Hunyady had a great time playing various games and kits (cover photo), but he also made beautiful angels in creative workshops. The Hunyady family also came with their younger son, six-month-old Leo. We all admired him, because the boy was just smiling and we didn't hear him cry even once. "We will definitely come next time", said Jozef Hunyady: "We like walks, we met other people, it was pleasant."
Saturday afternoon was used by several people to refresh themselves in the pool, or for a short hiking walk to the Rákoczi Spring, led by Filip Mudrý. The program continued in the early evening with creative workshops. Karin Mikulášová Kravec from OZ Creative Workshop has prepared several activities.
Beads were very popular, from which not only children but also mothers made bracelets with names, started making butterflies and angels, or engaged in other creative work. Teo Vagaš's grandmother was happy to help.
Everyone was very interested in the longest creative activity – painting pictures with acrylic paints, for which it was necessary to prepare thoroughly. For example, by the fact that all painters received aprons. It reached the floor for Darek Petrus, so he protected his clothes from staining, but he still had all possible colors on both forearms on Sunday. His mother Nika told us that Darko has just had another operation and they are waiting for the date of treatment.
Thorough instruction and preparation paid off.
A small vernissage of paintings exhibited on the grass was also admired by passing cyclists.
The family of Ľubomír Lovas also enjoyed the weekend stay very much. Their little Emka is already four years old. "It was great for us," said Ľubomír Lovás. "We liked everything very much, even Emka was satisfied all the time," added Peťa Lovásová.
Miška Vagaš and her mother took the opportunity to just sit in the shade of an umbrella and talk while the boys played football: "We are very glad that you invited us. You don't even know how pleased we were. It was amazing, excellent organization, very good food. We will definitely come whenever you call us, it is always great with you."
