Last week, the State Philharmonic Košice played a concert entitled Beethoven's Eroica "Eroica is Beethoven's first symphonic work in which he found his own distinctive musical language and inevitably changed the history of music," says Aleksandar Marković, permanent guest conductor of the State Philharmonic Košice. According to him, this work remains one of the most fascinating and demanding symphonic ensembles.
The first part of the concert was dedicated to Britten. In the Piano Concerto in D major, ZEE ZEE, a unique artist and winner of the Queen Elizabeth Competition in 2013, who performed at the ŠFK for the first time during the Košice Music Spring two years ago, sat at the piano.
At the invitation of the General Director of the State Philharmonic Košice, Lucie Potokárová, twenty ironworkers and their partners also listened to this exceptional concert.
What were their feelings and experiences?
Roman Tomčík: Thank you for a beautiful cultural experience, my girlfriend and I enjoyed the piano soloist Zee Zee very much, but so was the conductor Markovič with the whole philharmonic.
Dana Molčanová: It was a concert full of emotions and beautiful music. The pianist and the conductor were amazing, you could feel how they experienced tone after tone, every piece of the body. Random meetings with friends were also pleasing.

After a long time, my daughter and I attended a concert of the ŠFK. We both agreed that any performances by any composers are presented by our philharmonic orchestra artistically professionally and beyond expectations, under the baton of any conductor. We were especially interested in the temperamental Balkan performance of our new guest conductor. My daughter is already looking forward to other events, despite the fact that she spends most of her time abroad. Simply an excellent experience for every visitor.

Thank you again for the tickets for the concert, which was fascinating. From the introductory chilling Cantus in Memoriam by Benjamin Britten, through the piano concerto with the great soloist Zee Zee, to the Beethoven symphony itself. And all this performed by our great orchestra - the State Philharmonic Košice. I am glad that we have such amazing philharmonic musicians in Košice.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a beautiful artistic evening, which was a caress of our souls and a gift of energy for the next days.

The concert was interesting, the pianist Zee Zee is a professional among professionals, she plays excellently, she can handle even fast passages with ease. Beethoven's symphony needs no commentary, a work worthy of a giant of classical music.

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to participate with my wife in an amazing concert at the State Philharmonic. In the first part, the piano virtuoso Zee Zee, an artist among the young generation of pianists, shone. After the break, we listened to Beethoven's symphony - EROICA, with which the composer reached the peak of the art of variation. At the end, the orchestra was rewarded with stormy, unceasing applause, as well as at the end of the first part, when the pianist played an extra piece after a great applause.
