Dinomania this Saturday!
Let's celebrate Children's Day together at Kosice Zoo
Kosice, May 30, 2012 - On Saturday, June 2, a rich entertainment program awaits visitors in the Zoological Gardens at Kavecany, prepared by U. S. Steel Kosice for the occasion of International Children's Day. In a make-believe Jurassic Park there will be singing and dancing, games and competitions from 2 till 5 p.m.
Little ones and grown-ups alike will be able to enjoy an interactive show called Wonderland with Sam the Magician and a juggler. The Maska (Costume) Theater will be performing their piece called Happy Zoo, which will surely interest the audience not only with its storyline but also with the costumes of the players in larger-than-life size. The figures, one of which will be Dino the Dinosaur, will be around after the program for children to have their photos taken with. The dinosaurs' world will be presented by a real paleontologist, and competitions have also been prepared with the Flintstones, face-painting and balloon-modeling. The program includes performances by Tomas Buranovsky and child saxophonist Patrik Ziga.
Entry tickets at the normal zoo entry price have been on sale since Monday at the City Information Center in Dargov Shopping Center. From 12 noon on Saturday there will also be additional ticket sales in temporary kiosks set up by the entrance to the Zoo, so there will be no need for people to stand in long lines. The first 500 children arriving at the gates between 1 and 2 p.m. who have brought a dinosaur toy with them will get a Dino balloon.
From 12 noon onwards on Saturday a free-of-charge shuttle bus service will be running from a temporary city bus stop at the top of the road by the meadow above Kavecany, making it more comfortable for visitors with children to park their cars in the large extra parking-lot and travel on to the Zoo by bus. Car parking will be supervised by the organizers and the traffic police.
