Kosice, May 16th 2005 - The announcement ceremony for the results of the ecology competition, including prize-giving, culture and sports events , will be taking place on Friday, May 20th, at 10.00 am at the sport and recreation area on Alejova Street in Kosice (next to the U leva restaurant).

This ecology competition for elementary school pupils, organized for the second time now by U. S. Steel Kosice, has already produced several winners. Altogether 27 schools in Kosice and nearby villages joined in, showing that they are not indifferent to the state of the environment around us. Based on the theme "Where and how are we going to live?", the pupils prepared a large number of interesting projects focusing on awareness and protection of nature, from which the specialist jury selected the seven best. To help them carry out these projects, the steel company is providing a financial contribution amounting to 200 000 SKK.
