Blast Furnaces work 1.5 million hours without injury

Working at the Blast Furnaces is hard and risky, so the success achieved there at the end of last month is all the more remarkable, in the form of one and a half million employee-hours worked without injury up to April 24, 2017. So on Friday, May 5, a meeting with U. S. Steel Košice President Scott Buckiso was organized for nearly 150 employees of the Blast Furnaces Division. They also shared this working breakfast with Vice President Operations Marcel Novosad, General Manager Primary Marek Lukačín, Blast Furnaces Division Director Marek Jenčo and Deputy GM Occupational Safety and Hygiene Róbert Meitner. The Company President and leaders in the field of safety at work discussed the reasons producing the Division's success and the principles for maintaining it.
