U. S. Steel Kosice helps villages stricken by floods
The residents of seventeen villages in the environs of Kosice, and of the city itself, which were worst stricken by last week's destructive floods, have been given a
helping hand by U. S. Steel Kosice. Between June 3rd and 8th more than 170 Tatra truckloads amounting to over 2 600 tons of pumice were conveyed from the steelworks by employees of USSK
Transport Division and subsidiary Vulkmont, to be used for building up and reinforcing anti-flooding river levees. The Company is in regular communication with the neighboring villages, and has
supplied some of them with floating pumps at their request.

New type added to KORAD radiator range
The range of KORAD P 90 radiators produced by U. S. Steel Kosice has recently been enhanced with a new type of unit. It is 550 millimeters in height, and
takes middle place in the range of five construction height types produced to date (300, 400, 500 , 600 and 900 millimeters). This radiator is specifically intended for reconstruction projects,
to replace the old cast-iron composite radiators installed in houses and apartment blocks mainly in the period from the 1950s to 1970s. The new type has gained the necessary certificates, so
there is now nothing preventing these units getting from the production lines to the end users in the very near future.
