Pride Festival Košice 2021 starts on August 21

The aim of the PRIDE Festival is to bring the issue of LGBT+ rights to the people of Košice, the metropolis of eastern Slovakia, to open up discussion about their status and provide various opportunities to people from the social majority to recognize the everyday situations experienced by the LGBT+ community.

The accompanying activities are as multifarious as that community itself. Throughout the week there will be various concerts, parties, film-shows and discussions, and an ecumenical church service as well. One of the main events will be a parade starting out from the Barracks Culturepark. All events will be free of charge and open to the general public, bearing in mind the currently-applicable pandemic restrictions, so anyone who wants to join in the parade will need to voluntarily register their participation beforehand to make sure of their place, as the capacity of the Culturepark is limited to 1000 people.
