     U. S. Steel Kosice is the biggest employer in Eastern Slovakia. As the most influential company here it contributes tens of millions of Slovak crowns towards regional development every year.
     This involves not only sponsorship, but also organization of events for the people of Kosice and Eastern Slovakia. Of course, these events are also very popular with U. S. Steel Kosice employees and their families.
     Two big events are arranged each year in the city center especially for children - International Children's Day and St. Nicholas' Day for Children.
     Young people in Eastern Slovakia especially appreciate the quality of the U. S. Steel Talent Night contest. This is held every autumn with the aim of supporting young, talented singers, dancers and bands.
     For the public and the company's special guests there are two more events - the Christmas Concert and the Annual Ball.
