The manager of the Refractory Technical Services operation at USSK subsidiary Rastislav Kamenský has been named occupational safety and health champion for the month of May. He was presented with his award by Company President Jim Bruno and General Manager Safety and Hygiene and REACH Mark Salo.

Maintaining the rules of safety and health protection at work, participating personally in all refractory technical repairs, and discovering potential risks with the assistance of safety technicians, are all natural aspects of Rastislav Kamenský’s work. In many cases he identifies and draws attention to risks on his own iniative, but he is quite clear in his view that his award is the result of team-work.
