U. S. Steel Košice, s.r.o. today opened the 17th year of the Together for the Region 2024 grant program. It is intended to support local community projects with the active involvement of residents, including employees of U. S. Steel Košice. Non-governmental non-profit organizations and local municipalities from the Košice and Prešov regions can apply for a grant of €3,000 for projects in four categories. Activities increasing safety in all areas of life, environmental protection, preservation of cultural heritage, as well as development activities for children and youth can be supported. Sustainable solutions implemented in a partnership of organizations from several sectors are welcome.

A total of 30,000 euros will be distributed in the program to support community projects. The invitation with the program criteria, the application form and all the mandatory attachments are available on the website of the company U. S. Steel Košice. You can send your applications by March 8, 2024.

U. S. Steel Košice President James Bruno says: "Through this program, we give a helping hand to those who, like us, care about this region and are willing to do something for its development. I especially appreciate that for many years our employees have also been involved as volunteers or organizers of community life in various areas."

Since its inception, the Together for the Region program has already supported 140 community projects with a total amount exceeding 351,000 euros.
