January 22, 2004, Kosice - U. S. Steel Kosice, s.r.o. management and Trade Union representatives have reached agreement in all areas of year 2004 collective bargaining.

They have agreed on an overall increase in average pay by 8.3% and an increase in the variable portion of pay awarded throughout the year from current 6% to 7%. These increases are effective as from January 1, 2004. Other details will be publicized once the 2004 Labor Agreement is signed in early February.
