Coronavirus holds up our plans

U. S. Steel Košice is carefully monitoring the situation concerning the spread of coronavirus infection, and has implemented several counter-measures in this connection, also in line with instructions from the Regional Public Health Authority. Employees are advised to respect correct hygiene principles, not to shake hands with colleagues, avoid close contact with other people in the workplace, maintain a distance of at least two meters from other people and restrict time spent with others to less than 15 minutes. Wearing protective face masks is recommended to reduce the risk of transmitting infection. All person-to-person meetings around the Company are cancelled, and visits and business trips are reduced to the lowest possible level. Meetings are preferably held by means of teleconferencing, and management has decided to stop all training sessions until March 22. Recuperation stays have been temporarily cancelled, and preventive medical check-ups for new and former employees are stopped until further notice. Starting Monday, March 16, for 14 days there is a restricted regime of catering services provision.
