European Union reindustrialization at international level

Bratislava Incheba was the venue from October 26 through 28, 2016 for the international conference entitled European Union Reindustrialization (REinEU 2016), which was attended by representatives of the European community of research and innovation, as well as leading business sector representatives. The purpose of this prestigious event in the field of nanotechnology, biotechnology, advanced materials and production technologies was to draw attention to the role of science, research and innovation not only in the sustainable development of European economics, but mainly in the process of European reindustrialization. The focus was on the influence of research and innovation on production support and growth in “more traditional” manufacturing branches.

The conference also included numerous accompanying events, workshops and panel discussions. U. S. Steel Košice Vice President Engineering Activities and Innovation David E. Hathaway was involved in one of the debates focused on technology trends and innovations that have the potential to promote the competitiveness of European industry and cooperation between companies and research.
