The Fenestra non-government organization and the Slovak and Czech Women's Fund have jointly acknowledged individual and group initiatives aimed at stopping violence against women and reducing tolerance in society towards such violence. The Fifth Woman Awards 2015 were presented on Thursday, December 10, at the Barracks/CulturePark in Košice, in five categories: Activism, Good practice, Volunteering, Philanthropy and donorship and Media. The Fifth Woman Award 2015 in the category Philanthropy and donorship was presented to U. S. Steel Košice. Our Compnay, said the organizers, sets an example of social responsibility not only in the sense of countering violence against women, but also in its support for the civic and non-government sector.
