After more than fifty years the Košice steelworks is ending the production of steel panel radiators, and on August 1 of this year the radiator works definitively changes owners. The contract for sale of assets concerning the equipment for radiator production was signed on Monday of last week, July 1, on U. S. Steel Košice premises by company officer and Vice President Subsidiaries and Services Elena Petrášková, company officer and Vice President Financing Silvia Gaálová, and the sole shareholder of the BOKI Group a.s. corporation Bedřich Brabec, whose business history and professional career to date create all the preconditions not only for maintaining current production levels, but also for full usage of the currently unutilized capacity. On the basis of this contract, U. S. Steel Košice ceases all production and sales of radiators as of August 1, 2019, and from that date the producer of radiators using the premises of the present operation will be the new company named KORAD Radiators.
