Fast, perfectly-prepared tracks, pleasant winter weather and good mood among the racers set up the conditions for this year's cross-country skiing competition as part of the Winter Sports Games for U. S. Steel Košice employees, which took place on Saturday, January 20 up at Kojšovská hoľa.

Just like last year the starting line-up consisted of 36 racers divided into two women's and four men's age categories. The women and senior men raced on a four-kilometer track, while the men in the other three, younger categories competed on the ten-kilometer circuit.
