One thousand and seventy. This is the final number of lunches that we have collected and that our colleagues from Delirest have already started delivering to the non-profit organization OÁZA – Hope for a New Life. The last batch will be delivered on April 8.

We have helped people who do not have their own home and sometimes do not even have money for hot food. Peter Gombita, director of the non-profit organization, told us that lunches will also be given to their clients who live in rental apartments and whom they have been helping with rent payments for three years.

Almost four lunches per person are a great help for homeless people. With the money they save, they can buy, for example, Easter sweets for their children, buy a drugstore, or something else they need.

"You have helped us a lot. Our clients are sincerely looking forward to it. We thank all the employees who contributed, we are very moved," said social worker Renáta Vašutová (in the photo with her colleague Patrik Blikhart) and added: "Those who work can pay for a "package" with us – breakfast, lunch and dinner. We try to cook at least one hot meal for the others. So your donation will help us save too."

Clients of the OÁZA center also helped with unloading, carrying and distributing lunches. They looked at what good they had received, they were very happy, and when we were leaving, they wanted us to greet all the donors and wish them a happy Easter. We are happy to fulfill this wish.

We asked some randomly selected donors why they decided to share lunches with homeless people.

I participate in the collection every year. I won't miss those few lunches and it can mean a lot to them. Anyone can get into a difficult life situation. The people from the OÁZA center have my admiration that they have the will to change their lives, as the organization has its own rules. I know Father Peter Gombita personally, he is an incredibly humble and human person, and I am all the more pleased that our company is involved in this collection.

We have been donating lunches since 2021. In total, it was 12 times. More than 3,080 people donated more than 24,600 lunches. This last collection was very successful. We managed to collect the second highest number of lunches before the Easter holidays and the highest number of donors in collections in this period were involved.

Thank you to everyone who contributed. Those who sent 10, 20 or more lunches, but also all those who decided to help at least one. Every single lunch counts and believe me, every single lunch will make someone very happy.
