Neither the turn of the year and the holidays associated with it, nor the current freezing weather conditions have stopped work on granulate boiler no.7, which is an integral part of the extensive reconstruction and modernization of the steelworks boiler plant. The completion date for this currently largest capital investment project at U. S. Steel Košice is approaching day by day. The new boiler should supply its first steam on June 30, 2016.
