As the only non-operation section, Research and Development USSE has been meeting on regular basis in its war rooms for two years. As well, representatives of GM Research and Development USSE have been regularly attending the war rooms of the operating units. The employees present their ideas and run their own projects, concurrently being members of project teams in particular operations. Research activities within the project Carnegie - Our Way can be divided into two areas: 1. cost saving and process improvement projects, 2. projects related to development of new and innovation of the existing products, aimed at increasing competitiveness and supporting fulfillment of customer requirements.
