For the 17th time now U. S. Steel Košice is running its summer vacation internship program, in which between July 1 and August 31 a total of 43 students from colleges and universities in Slovakia and abroad will be taking part. Around half of these future metallurgists, engineers, accountants, electrical, IT and energy technicians have already completed the first ever year-long work experience program in the Company, and in the next eight weeks they will get to know the whole steelworks, join in the implementation of projects in production itself or in specialist departments, but also acquire managerial and presentational skills during training sessions focusing on the personal development of key competences.
