Last week, on Thursday, several dozen ironworkers with their partners sat in the auditorium of the House of Arts. Among them were the top managers of U. S. Steel Košice, Mike Piekut and Miroslav Kiraľvarga with their wives. At the invitation of the general director of the ŠFK, Lucie Potokárová, they had the opportunity to enjoy a concert called Trúbka par excellence
The program included the concert overture Othello by Antonín Dvořák, the 5th Symphony by Ralph Vaughan Williams and the brilliant Trumpet Concerto by Mieczysław Weinberg. It was performed by Sergei Nakariakov, one of the most sought-after trumpet soloists of today (in the title picture).
What impressions did our colleagues leave the concert with?

We were sincerely looking forward to Thursday evening at home, because we knew that we would experience it in one of the most pleasant cultural stands in Košice – the State Philharmonic Košice. From the very first tones, it was clear that the orchestra was playing in excellent form – the precise interplay of individual sections, balanced dynamics and professional performance created a strong and unforgettable artistic experience, which the audience rewarded with sincere applause several times. The acoustics of the concert hall beautifully emphasized the intelligibility and subtle nuances of the individual musical instruments, which further underlined the impressive mastery of the soloist. The whole concert had a very pleasant atmosphere and left a deep positive impression on us.

As regular visitors, we really enjoyed this concert. This time we were very enchanted not only by the trumpeter, who looked stunning and his playing was really fascinating, but also by the conductor. Johannes Witt began with the overture to Antonín Dvořák's Othello, and this pure drama brought motifs of jealousy, love and betrayal to the music. Sergei Nakariakov sounded sensitive and delicate, which is really admirable considering that it is a sheet metal instrument. It brought us a very emotional experience.
The concert evening was amazing with a variety of emotions: a dramatic and classical introduction (Dvořák's overture), through Weinberg's concerto with the great trumpeter Sergei Nakariakov, to the final poetic Vaughan Williams Symphony. As always, the Košice Philharmonic Orchestra, this time under the leadership of conductor Johannes Witt, were amazing.
I'm sending a photo with my colleague, friend, classmate and neighbor in one person, Andrea Egryová.

Thank you for a nice musical experience. Since the conductor did not have a safety railing, I was afraid to clap so that he would not fall off the stage.

A fabulous trumpet. I did not expect such a performance. Fabulous sound, fabulous game. The soloist Sergei Nakariakov was rewarded with a big applause, which, as you could see, pleased him. In addition, the encore played the flügen horn together with the orchestra. This further enhanced the artistic experience. The credit for such an amazing sound goes to his special wind instruments without a glossy finish. An artist par excellence!

The concert was amazing and the performance of the interestingly chosen repertoire was exceptional. Beautiful music allowed the viewer to get lost in time and space and enjoy pleasant moments. It was a great artistic experience.
Thank you for a nice experience with the State Philharmonic Košice. I'm not an expert on classical music, but every change and something new is pleasant. My sister was also satisfied and very happy to be at this concert! Thank you.

A visit to the Trúbka Philharmonic par excellence was a strong and exceptional experience for me. The sound of the trumpet was majestic, sometimes gentle and lyrical, at other times energetic and captivating. A significant element of the evening for me were also the drums, which gave the music rhythm, tension and unique dynamics. Together, they created a strong atmosphere that filled the entire space and drew me into the action from the first notes.

My husband and I liked the concert very much. The trumpeter was great and his "encore" before the break was beautiful. A big thank you to the whole orchestra and the conductor for a beautiful artistic experience, everyone was amazing.
