Kosice, December 13, 2005 - U. S. Steel Kosice, s.r.o. within the framework of the project for disadvantaged groups has been providing work to 130 inhabitants of Velka Ida, municipal parts Saca a Lunik IX in form of personal leasing. On the occasion of already traditional meetings with the project participants in the time before Christmas the company representatives have made contracts for work with the best of them. Company President David H. Lohr, Mayor of the community Velka Ida Frantisek Snir and Jozef Cerven, the priest carrying out the mission in Lunik IX, took part in the meeting. Contracts for work were signed by Miroslav Kiralvarga, Vice President Human Resources.

Frantisek Mata from the community of Velka Ida, Marcel Sana and Milan Balog from Lunik IX were remunerated like this for their work. Frantisek Mata is starting an employment relationship from January 1, 2006 as an employee of the Divisional plant (DZ) Coking Plant, the other two are operating in shops of DZ Power Plant.

U. S. Steel Kosice has been realizing special occupational projects already for more than three years. It cooperates on this with the community of Velka Ida and with Kosice municipal parts Saca and Lunik IX.
