One of several issues arising from this edition's extracts is the difference between "classical" and "classic". Basically, the former means "well-known from the past", and the latter means "the best of its kind". Classical architecture is what we associate with buildings fom Ancient Greece and Rome. Gothic, Baroque and Secession styles are not Classical. Classical music includes the symphonies, concertos, suites and operas by Mozart, Beethoven, Mahler, Sibelius, Vivaldi, Bach, Haydn, Verdi, Puccini, and of course Mozart.

Košice Cathedral is a classic example of eastern Gothic style of church architecture, but the top of the north tower is a classic Baroque helm. The Mercedes-Benz 300SL, the AC/Shelby Cobra, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray or the Morgan Plus 8 are classic sports cars. Cars generally cannot be Classical, but they could be vintage (built between 1919 and 1930).
